SERVICES: TRAINING

Every dog has a personality of its own. And as a result, the relationship between you and your dog is unique. Once a consultation has taken place and your dog’s specific behavioral issues have been identified, Baxter & Beasley will help you develop a custom plan to address your dog’s situation. This program can focus on fixing undesirable behaviors, such as biting, chewing, jumping up and food aggression to name a few.

BOARD AND TRAIN (INCLUDES DAY CARE)

PRICING: $900/ONE WEEK | $1700/TWO WEEKS

DAY TRAIN: $100

Baxter & Beasley’s Board and Train Program is the perfect balance of work and play for your dog!

During your dog’s stay with us, he will be trained at least twice a day, 6 days a week. They will learn basic obedience commands (heel, sit, stay, down, down stay and come). In addition, if your pet has any problem (for example: food aggression) this will be addressed as well. Your pooch will be rewarded for all his hard work by spending his days playing with other dogs, getting tons of exercise and receiving lots of attention from our staff.

At the end of the board and train period, you are given a one hour private lesson to show you how to maintain your pet’s training. All two week board and trains are encouraged to come back two weeks later to review how things are going.

CGC CERTIFICATION & THERAPY DOG PREPARATION

Please Call For Pricing: (847) 358-9663

Canine Good Citizen (“CGC”) is an American Kennel Club (“AKC”) sponsored class that is fun, useful, and will help you and your dog establish a closer bond. The purpose of the CGC class is to help ensure that our dogs can be respected members of the community. This is achieved when they are trained to act well-mannered in the home, in public and in the presence of other dogs.

A CGC certificate is the first step towards certifying dogs that visit nursing homes, hospitals, schools, etc. With all the “dangerous dogs” legislations that are now pending in most states, a CGC certificate helps verify that your dog does not fall into the “dangerous dog” category.  Many insurance companies require homeowners to obtain a CGC certificate before issuing liability homeowner’s policies to people who own certain breeds of dogs.

All dogs including purebreds and mixed breeds are welcome in the Canine Good Citizen Program. At the completion of the 4-week class, a test will be given by our certified CGC evaluator. After successfully passing the test, all dogs will be eligible for AKC certification.
